چکیده

Model predictive control (MPC) has recently been ranked as one of the best modern technics for high voltage direct current (HVDC) based on source converter (VSC) transmission systems, since it is a simple controller, understandable and can be implemented easily, also dynamic fast response. The classic double closed loop PI controller many disadvantages such difficulty in determining Kp, Ki, Kd parameters well couplings; It less robust against systems with slow dynamics and/or having complex structure. This paper exposes model two-level converter. Direct power rectifier-side prediction inverter-side AC strategy proposed. utilizes identified to anticipate comportment output every switching state at each sampling frequency. At next interval, optimum applied using cost function reference point. MPC method was verified by tools MATLAB/Simulink software. simulation results validate feasibility effectiveness presented strategy.

Analysis of Model Predictive Current Control for Voltage Source Inverter

Abstract: Model predictive control has become a promising control technology in power converter, because of the good dynamic response and accurate current tracking capability. This study mainly analyzes and verifies the Model Predictive Current control (MPC) of a three-phase voltage sources converter. The MPC controller predicts the behavior of the converter for each possible voltage vector on ...

Distributed Voltage and Current Control of Multi-terminal High-voltage Direct Current Transmission Systems

High-voltage direct current (HVDC) is a commonly used technology for long-distance power transmission, due to its low resistive losses and low costs. In this paper, a novel distributed controller for multi-terminal HVDC (MTDC) systems is proposed. Under certain conditions on the controller gains, it is shown to stabilize the MTDC system. The controller is shown to always keep the voltages close...

Model Predictive Control of Voltage Source Converter in a HVDC System

Model Predictive Control (MPC) method is a class of advanced control techniques most widely applied in industry. The major advantages of the MPC are its straightforward procedure which can be applied for both linear and nonlinear system. This paper proposes the use of MPC for voltage source converter (VSC) in a high voltage direct current (HVDC) system. A MPC controller is modeled based on the ...

Fault Ride-through Capability Enhancement of Voltage Source Converter-High Voltage Direct Current Systems with Bridge Type Fault Current Limiters

This paper proposes the use of bridge type fault current limiters (BFCLs) as a potential solution to reduce the impact of fault disturbance on voltage source converter-based high voltage DC (VSC-HVDC) systems. Since VSC-HVDC systems are vulnerable to faults, it is essential to enhance the fault ride-through (FRT) capability with auxiliary control devices like BFCLs. BFCL controllers have been d...
